Write for us

We welcome pitches that help readers notice how theatre communicates, whether through a script, a performance choice, a stage convention or the experience of watching. Clear ideas and careful explanation matter more than specialist vocabulary.

What we are looking for

Propose a focused piece about a theatrical question with a useful centre: a close reading, an explanation of a convention, a comparison of approaches, or a thoughtful way into watching a play. Strong pitches say what the reader will understand or notice by the end and why the subject suits Trusted Theatre Review.

A good pitch

Send a working title, a short outline, the main point you want to explore and a brief note about your approach to the subject. Tell us if the idea depends on access to a particular production or material. We welcome original work, careful distinctions between fact and interpretation, and prose that makes complex ideas clear.

How to send it

Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Please pitch the idea before sending a complete article. Submission does not guarantee publication, and we will discuss scope and terms before any commissioned work begins.
